Celsus — Phone answering
Service 01 / 04
AI phone receptionist
Answers every call, books the job, and texts you what happened.
A receptionist that picks up on the first ring, at 7am or 9pm, and puts real appointments in your calendar. You get a text with the details before the caller has put their phone down.
How a call ends
Every inbound call
Picked up on the first ring, at 7am or 9pm, whether or not both your hands are free.
- 01BookedWritten into the calendar you already use, and texted to you with the details.
- 02Message takenThe caller's name, their number, and what they wanted.
- 03TransferredPut through to you when it is urgent, or when it needs a person.
- 04Nothing doingNothing to act on. Still transcribed, still in the dashboard.
01—The problem
A missed call is not a missed call. It is a customer who rang the next name on the list. You already know this, which is why the phone gets answered mid-haircut, mid-consult, halfway up a ladder — badly, and at the cost of whatever you were doing.
Celsus answers instead. It knows your services, your hours, what you charge and what you will not promise. It takes the booking, writes it into your calendar, and sends you the details. When it cannot help, it says so plainly and puts the caller through or takes a message — it never guesses.
Who this is for
Salons, clinics, trades, studios and clubs — anyone losing work because the phone rings while both hands are full.
02—The process
07 stages
- 01
We listen to how your phone works now
Twenty minutes on a call. What people ring about, what you wish they would stop ringing about, who is allowed to book what, and the three questions you answer forty times a week. This is the whole discovery phase; there is no questionnaire.
- 02
We write your receptionist’s brief
Your services and durations, your opening hours and public holidays, your cancellation terms, and — the part that matters most — the list of things it must never say. No quoting on a job it has not seen. No promising a time that is not free. No medical advice. It refers those to you by name.
- 03
You hear it before any customer does
We stand it up on a test number and you ring it. Be difficult with it: mumble, interrupt, ask for something you do not offer, change your mind halfway. Every awkward call you throw at it now is one a real customer does not have to.
- 04
We connect your calendar
It reads your real availability, so it can only ever offer a slot that exists. Blocked-out time stays blocked. Double bookings are not a thing it can do, because it is reading the same calendar you are.
- 05
Your number stays your number
You keep the number on your van, your window and your Google listing. We divert calls to Celsus — everything, or only the ones you have not picked up within a few rings, or only after hours. Your choice, and it is reversible in minutes.
- 06
Two weeks of tuning on real calls
Live calls are the only honest test. You read the transcripts, flag anything answered wrong, and we adjust the brief. This is where a good receptionist becomes yours rather than generic, and it is included — not an upsell.
- 07
Then it just runs
Every call is transcribed and sorted in your dashboard: booked, message taken, transferred, or nothing doing. Prices changed? Hours changed? Tell us and it changes the same day.
The never list
The part of the brief that matters most is the list of things it must never say.
- 01Quote on a job it has not seen
- 02Promise a time that is not free
- 03Give medical advice
It refers those to you by name. When it cannot help, it says so plainly — it never guesses.
03—What you actually get
What exists at the end
- 01A receptionist trained on your business, not a generic script
- 02Bookings written straight into the calendar you already use
- 03A text to you with the caller’s name, number and what they wanted
- 04A dashboard with every call, transcript and outcome
- 05Urgent calls flagged, and transfer to a human when it is needed
- 06Changes to hours, prices or services made on request
How long
Usually live within a week of the first call.
What it costs
A monthly fee per business. No lock-in contract.
Quoted once we know your call volume and how many services it needs to handle.
Questions
Will callers know it is not a person?
Some will, some will not. We do not tell it to pretend to be human — if a caller asks, it tells them the truth and offers to put them through to you. Pretending is the fastest way to lose someone’s trust.
What happens if it does not understand someone?
It asks again, once. If it still cannot help, it takes a message or transfers the call — it does not guess and it does not book something it is unsure about. A message you can act on beats a wrong booking every time.
Do I have to change phone providers?
No. You keep your number and your provider. Call diversion is a setting on your existing service, and we walk you through it.
Can I turn it off?
Yes, whenever you like — it is a diversion, so undoing it takes about a minute. Busy season on, quiet season off is a perfectly normal way to use it.
